Premium Tea Flavor Descriptions

Apricot - This is a very elegant tea with the “warm”, almost nutty flavor of Apricot predominating. A perennial favorite for many.

Black Currant - This full-bodied tea has a "big" fruity, berry flavor and has become a traditional favorite in fine restaurants all over America.

Chamomile - The finest chamomile flowers are used to produce this tea. It has an unusually strong, fresh scent that may remind you of green apples. Chamomile has often been served as a calmative over the years.

Ceylon Decaf - High quality black tea with the caffeine removed, but with the depth of flavor left intact. This Ceylon is said to be the only Decaf that tastes like "real tea".

Citron Green -The delicate citrus flavor of this tea provides a gentle introduction into the world of green tea.

Darjeeling Blend - High in the mountains, deep in the mists that surround the Himalayas is Darjeeling — “Queen of Teas”. A blend of First Flush and Autumnal teas from the best gardens. This mixture yields a light color in the cup — a fragrant “nose”.

Earl Grey - A blend of hand picked black teas from India, this traditional tea is scented with essence of oil of Bergamont. Also available in decaf.

English Breakfast - A traditional blend of hand picked black teas from India. The Assam is mellowed just a bit with a smooth south Indian Tea. It is perfect in the morning or throughout the day. Strong and simple.

Hot Cinnamon Spice - Harney & Sons' most popular flavored tea, this is a blend of black teas, three types of cinnamon, orange peel, and sweet cloves. It’s remarkably assertive, and that is its most admired quality.

Indian Spice - Assam tea, freshly ground cardamom, and spices combine together to create a hauntingly subtle spiced tea blend. Add some milk and sugar, and you could be in Calcutta awaiting the fresh teas coming down from Assam & Darjeeling. This is the tea to use to brew your own chai tea.

Japanese Sencha - The Japanese drink sencha every day. You may find it to be a very approachable green tea. There are many different Senchas available on the market today...you can count on Harney & Sons to offer one of very high quality.

Jasmine - Made from Pouchong tea that is slightly browner than green tea. Fresh jasmine flowers are added to produce a delicate and fragrant brew.

Mango - Bold tropical flavors and bits of dried mangos make for an enchanting afternoon treat. Bring on the sunblock!

Orange Pekoe - A classic blend of strong Assam and smooth liquoring Ceylon, this tea produces a mellow, satisfying cup. A traditional staple in many households.

Peppermint - A marvelous, brisk peppermint. A great smelling and crisp tasting tisane. A cup of this can get a pesky stomach under control in no time.

Raspberry Herbal - A mixture of rosehips, hibiscus, raspberry leaves and raspberry flavor that produces a great tasting, great looking tea. It brews up a beautiful ruby red color and it "cures everything", including the rainy day blues.

Tropical Green - Hand-blended green teas with marvelous tropical flavor - pineapple is the dominant flavor, and that's why we love it. Discover this fresh twist on traditional greens.
